Stargate Destniy - 106 Lost but not Forgotten

I loved this episode, and I hoped you guys did to. Now it is time to see what I gave it.
This episode was written by my favorite writer on the Destiny team. Esquin. He is the only writer as of now to receive a 5 out of 5 from me, and we will see if he can get two in a row. Now I will start off saying that this episode was delayed for a bit. I almost forgot about it, until I was going through the new review feature on SG:U and noticed that the release date was fast approaching. I have to say it was worth the wait. It was rather short for a Destiny episode at just 45 pages, but it is quality not content we are looking for.

His teaser was of course a good teaser getting you into what happened and all. There was even a little wonder as to what the machine was, but as soon as the first act neared completion all that wonder had gone away. I knew exactly what was going to happen in this episode. Well, I knew the end, but what makes this episode good is not knowing what the machine is even before the characters do, and how it is going to be resolved, but rather the events that happened as they figured out.

The flashback scenes were well done, and I could see in my head a blurred view of the thing going on. I noticed one really cool thing. Hemmingway, and the alien guy talked about when Hemmingway killed one of her own men, well women rather, but needless it was good to see that what happens is episodes has an effect on the rest of the series.

The revelation that the leader of the Malecathi might be ascended in some form or another. (That is my speculation not anything that the episodes says) Is every good, and there were of course some great character moments in the episode the helped boost it up, but other than that I knew the end by the end of the first act, but some how I was still reading for more because I just loved those flashbacks.

So, as most of you can see this episode isn’t going to get 5 out of 5. Sorry Esquin. I loved it there is no doubt, but it was just a little too predictable, and bland at some points, and I can’t give an imperfect episode a perfect score. That just wouldn’t be right. However, I am going to give it the rating I give the episodes that are just below perfection. 4 out of 5. It was a good episode, and I enjoyed, and I hope all of you did.
