Stargate Destiny- 107 I Think Therefore I am.. Review

Sorry about the lag in Reviews. Anyways I really enjoyed this episode.
By now I realize that basically everyone who is reading Destiny has probably read this episode, so I am going to go spoiler crazy, and if you haven’t read the episode I will tell you now. GO READ IT. Anyways, I have to say I really liked this episode. At first I was thinking oh no this is going to be like that power plant episode of Stargate SG-1 where they all have lost their memories, and so on. Which was a good episode, but it wouldn’t be good if someone just took that episode, and redid it just a little. Anyways, by the middle of the episode I had realized that it was nothing like that episode at all.

Now the first act was interesting. It grabbed my attention. It introduced the problem the characters were going to have to solve and of course the Hemmingway Tenyris scene was great, though that brings something up. I have read all the Destiny episodes up until this one, and I really haven’t seen enough hints to make me feel that maybe there was something between the two I was actually kind of surprised when they ended up together.

Now I did like the conversation between Telari, Barrows, and Williams. It was funny, and I especially liked the comment about his host not wanting to get up that early in the morning. The scene were Tenyris has a flashback type thing to being on the Destiny was pretty well written, and I did want to get to the bottom of the mystery even though I still thought I had what was going on figured out.

When, we first see the operative on the board the enemy ship I was very confused. It was just an odd scene when taken in order, but in being such and odd scene it really made me want to get to the bottom of what was going on in this episode.

When the Destiny showed up to save Orin-1 I was like “cool space battle.” However, I had no such luck. Not that what happened wasn’t as good as a space battle it was probably better. Moving on. When General Barrows says that they have transporter technology I just knew that he was going to get transported away. I liked the comment by Barrows on the NID situation. Though I do believe that it was more than a few years ago because of how far in the future Destiny is set.

In the end this episode was great. It was in ensence a good thriller. I kind of knew where it was going, but all of a sudden I would get thrown a curve ball, and it would be like wow. I did have a few problems with the script. I had just one page that was blank, but that can probably be just a formatting issue because god knows I have had a few of those. Anyways, I am going to give this episode 4 out of 5. It was well written, a good thriller, but it wasn’t perfect it was close, but it wasn’t perfect.
